As a Notary Public, I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in this Commonwealth. I am not allowed to draft legal records, give advice on legal matters, including immigration, or charge a fee for those activities. As a Notary Public, I have been appointed by Pennsylvania's Secretary of State to serve the public and act as an impartial witness relating to the signing of important documents to ensure the true identity of signers and prevent fraudulent acts.
I have been appointed by Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. A Notary screens the signers of important documents for their true identity, their willingness to sign without duress or intimidation, and their awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

- administer oaths and affirmations
- take a verification on oath or affirmation (includes an affidavit)
